The Republican Congressional Primary is tomorrow – Tuesday, June 26th. I am the only principled conservative Republican on the ballot. For those of you who don’t know who I am, or don’t know enough about me to make an informed decision, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you why I believe I am the best choice for the Republican Nomination in District 21.
First, I am from this area and grew up here. I have spent almost all of my life here (over 30 years). I have been blessed enough to have had many experiences that have taken me to far away places including Japan and Singapore and yes, most recently, to Arizona. But this has always been home and always will be home. My experiences around the world and around this country have afforded me a broad knowledge in a variety of areas including global trade and economics, border and national security and small business development and growth just to name a few. These are all areas that we, as a nation, are in need of people with strong expertise in order to move our economy forward.
I am not from Wall Street and I am not a lawyer. That characterizes who we have in Congress today. And how is that working out for us? We have record debts and deficits and plenty of confusing, conflicting and costly laws. Unfortunately, this is who my opponents are.
I am a different kind of candidate. I am from among the people. I am just like all of you. I have struggled in this economy. I work hard and often wonder why I can’t get ahead. I am well educated and still can’t find a good job in this economy – like many of you. And, like many of you, I am tired of yelling at my television and feeling as if nothing ever changes in Washington. We always seem to get more of the same. Well, on Tuesday, you have a chance to vote for something different because I am not more of the same! I am running to represent you! I am running for all of the issues that we have and to finally get something done in Washington.
I came into this campaign with no support from the GOP – and still don’t have it. And frankly, I am just fine with that. I don’t want to be in their pocket. I want to work for you! I started with no money and no supporters and we have raised small amounts, almost ALL from within the district. And even without the millions of dollars that everyone says you need, we have managed to effectively and efficiently run this campaign and be fiscally responsible with our supporter’s donations! We even have a little left! Isn’t that what we need in Washington? Someone with common sense principles who is willing to be responsible with the people’s money and do things effectively, efficiently and fiscally responsibly? For a change?
My opponent likes to tout his business background as the reason we should send him to Congress but the truth is that we don’t need another millionaire from Wall Street who doesn’t understand what it is like in the “real world”. We need someone with a real business background who has had to learn how to manage on a tight budget and figure out how to grow a business in the tough economic environment that we find ourselves and who will represent us, and our district, not Wall Street! I have over 25 years of business experience including my time working overseas and traveling globally for my job and like you, I have had to work very hard to get ahead.
Yes, I also just completed a seminary degree because I am a strong Christian who has strong moral values and ethics, which is also something we are lacking in congress.
I am a true conservative. Unlike my opponent, I am not pandering to anyone just to win their vote. I know where I stand on the issues and it is to the right of him. All one needs to do is research his background and see what he said in 2010 contrasted to what he is saying now. Why do you think the media repeatedly referred to him as a moderate? Because that is what he is. Do we really want “more of the same”? People who say whatever they think we want to hear just to get us to vote for them. And then we end up with more of the same in a do-nothing Congress. I think the answer is “no”. We don’t want that. And I am not that. I am the main street, not Wall Street, citizen who understands this district, the issues facing our nation, all of the problems that we the people are facing and I have a plan to bring jobs back to our district. I will represent YOU.
I would encourage you to visit my website at www.kelliegreene4congress.com and my Facebook page where you will find more information on where I stand on a variety of issues. And please, vote for me, Kellie Greene, tomorrow in the Republican primary. I humbly ask for your support. Thank you.
