Oswego County Conservative Party Chairman Len Schick said Wednesday that his party is undecided in determining what candidate to support for the 23rd Congressional District race.
Schick said that Matt Doheny isn’t “necessarily” the candidate to receive the Conservative nod.
Doheny, a Republican has already announced he will challenge Democrat Rep. Bill Owens for the seat. Kellie Greene, a native of Oswego County, will officially announce her candidacy Feb. 1 at the Ramada Inn located in Watertown.
Greene refers to herself as the “only principled Conservative Republican” in the race.
